Who's in?

I am trying to figure out all of the details for our group and I need to know how many people to plan on. I am going to start a little list on here. There are several people who were still trying to decide, but I will add people as I hear from them. If you aren't on the list, but you want to be, please either comment on here or send me an e-mail. So far, this is who is in...

How does this work?

I have had a lot of people ask me questions about how this group will work. Hopefully this post will explain most of it!

What is a freezer dinner group?
If you have ever heard of My Girlfriend's Kitchen or Dream Dinners, this is the same kind of concept, (except homemade!). Once a month you cook a meal, for example lasagna. Instead of making one pan, you make one for every member of the group. We will get together to exchange our meals and you will walk away with a variety of delicious meals.

How much does it cost?
Ideally we will try to keep it around $10 per dinner. The total cost will depend on how many people join the group. If we have 10 people, plan on spending $100. Since you will be making large quantities of the same thing you will be able to buy things in bulk to save a little money. To keep everything fair, we will be averaging out all of the money. For example, Mary ends up spending $75 to make her lasagna and Sue ends up spending $125 to make lettuce wraps. When we get together to exchange, Mary brings her extra $25, which is given to Sue. Got it? If not, e-mail me with any questions!

How many meals will I receive?
That depends on the size of our group. If we have 10 people, 10 meals. With 5 people, 5 meals. You get the idea.

How many people will each meal serve?
Each meal should have about 6-8 servings. All of our families will be different sizes, so this will work best for everyone. If your family is smaller, you can divide the dinners in half and make two meals from them.

I don't know what to cook! How do I find recipes?
I am making a list of links of the side of blog with recipes specifically for freezer dinners. Hopefully, in the next little while we can have more recipes on this blog. If you have any you would like to share, please post them.

When is the exchange night?
